Best pizza in the area by far! It's our go to Friday night pizza!

Loved the pizza and the nightly specials! The teenager was happy to have sub choices. The staff was friendly and attentive. I definitely want to come back and try other menu options soon.

Had the Chicken Gorgonzola and it was excellent. The house salad was nothing special. Our server was Amy and she was very friendly and attentive. We will be back.

Yes, even with the move from Oldsmar, still the very best NY style pizza in Pinellas County; I'm from Long Island and am one tough customer! Just the right amount of charring on the soft, pliable crust, the sauce is stellar with fresh basil. But do yourself a favor and don't limit yourself to the pizza alone....I can highly recommend ANY of the eggplant and chicken dishes. I've got fond memories of smuggling in hot subs to the Oldsmar AMC--way to make other movie-goers extremely jealous! Very generous portions for the price...split a Spinach salad before your pie or entree.....pretty sure the dressings are homemade. The new location is great, an odd mix of stylish decor but also casual enough with TVs and a little cozy bar. I've brought several NY relatives for lunch at Dominic's and they ALL say the pizza is on par with Colosseo's on Long Island. I highly recommend the garlic knots (yes! Now 6 knots versus 5 so no haggling with your sweetie for the odd one!) Stick with just plain cheese for your first time out, it's the only way to go, pizza this good doesn't need to hide behind toppings.

First time here today... SO happy we tried it. The service was absolutely fantastic... Anna took care of us - super friendly, quick, informative and gave us good suggestions. Antipasto was great and served quickly- their Italian dressing is mild and yummy. Our pizza (1/2 marg 1/2 regular cheese/mushroom) was DELICIOUS. We couldn't decide on what kind to get, so Anna said they would gladly do half and half. We took a dessert to go and will eat that later tonight (lemon cello cake)... Looks delish though! We will definitely be back . Great experience.

This place is really trying to be upscale with the pricey menu but with poor wine choices, dime-store-diner silverware, red plastic 'coke' soda cups, and when asked for extra napkins, they dropped a sub-shop napkin dispenser right in the middle of the table; pair all of this with super-slow service, white wine served at room temperature with no cold bottles for backup, the red sauce was bland, tasting like they it came straight from a can -- I'd say it's a big fat FAIL. Don't waste your time or money.

Our 2nd visit to Dominic's. Had a reservation. Arrived a few minutes early. 'Hostess' pointed in the general direction of a table, but did not seat us. For 15 minutes we sat there. Not once were we acknowledged. We finally flagged down another waitress who supposedly was going after ours. After another 5 minutes we got up and left. When questioned why we were leaving we received a deer in the headlights look. Dominic's is definitely not worthy of a return visit.

AMAZING! I ordered something not on the menu & that was no problem with the chef. They have Chicken Cabrese but I wanted the dish with a pork chop instead. The meal took a little while to prepare because the pork loin chop was over one-inch thick. The chop was grilled to perfection, crispy-crusty outside yet cooked through AND moist inside. The chop was served with two beautiful tomato slices on top, then melted mozzarella cheese. There was a lovely "balsamic vinaigrette" glaze (a warm, slightly sweet glaze with a hint of red wine flavor) over all. Describing this is making me hungry again. PERFECTION & truly the best pork chop I have ever eaten in any restaurant and that is not an overstatement. . There was a good and very interesting side dish that came with my dinner, an angel-hair pasts souffle, also a fresh vegetable, and a simple salad to start, and of course bread. My friend ordered the chicken marsala and that was very good as well. Our dinner portions were generous. We could not resist the garlic knot appetizer and oh! if you love garlic, you will enjoy the garlic knots! Great food, good beer selection - NOT just Bud and Bud Light - nice place to bring a family. High exposed ceilings so expect the ambience to be fun, a little bit noisy (but not loud) and family-oriented rather than quiet and romantic. The employees are friendly and the service is excellent. We never felt "hovered over" but were never ignored. Because the restaurant is family-owned and family-run - NOT a "corporate-style" restaurant - someone is available and happy to help you with your food selections and if you want something cooked different than is on the menu, talk to your waiter. ADDITION TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: We had a birthday dinner last week and all were beyond happy. My mom told me she had never had better salmon in her life.- at age 83. So I would tell you EVEN BETTER THE SECOND TIME...if such is possible!

This restaurant is in a higher visibility location, where another restaurant failed. My wife and I sat outside and didn't mind the rush of traffic on Highway 19. I loved my shrimp pasta meal, but I have some quibbles. Ordered a Coke. Got diet coke that was flat. Our salads were room temperature, both the food and bowl. Server never offered to refill my drink. Plastic placemats were not clean on our table. I want to try again, but my Wife says, no. We eat out a lot, and enjoy a good Italian dinner. Dominic's needs to refine their operation before we return.

A good red sauce kind of place, third time I have been there and everything was very good, I will say the service is kind of slow due to not enough servers but it was a Thursday night so I will cut them some slack for not being busy and only having one server , but if it was a Friday or Saturday night I would not have been very happy to wait as long as we did for our meals, but everything was very good and will be back,

There's a certain kind of pizza that brings back the special memories of growing up in NJ--when pizza was a special family meal. Dominic's continues to fit the bill with what I think is the best NY-style pizza in Pinellas County. I recommend the standard cheese pie--you can't beat the simplicity or the taste. And while I didn't partake on my most recent visit, I also highly recommend the garlic knots. You just can go wrong with real butter and fresh garlic.

Worst slice of pizza I have ever had. The person who took my order, cut from a pie that was clearly left out for a while. Then he practically burnt what little cheese and sauce was on there the pizza! Then I ordered the bread knots , which took Forever to make....I had to order a beer just to wait for them. And nothing was special about them, who would have thought about paying $4 for bread?!

I used to really love this place at the curlew location, had a 10 dollar large deal on Mondays which was amazing. It's just a little too pricey for me now. 30 dollars for a large, ten wings, and a 2 liter and that was a "deal" they were having. Just not really worth it. It's a shame because I love that style of pizza and theirs isn't bad but I just can't pay that every time

Went here because I read in two of the reviews that it was the same one that used to be in Oldsmar.I am not sure about this, fo the menu .is much diff. Had some white pi,zza it was delicious, worth a visit, service was excellent, but this was a late lunch, so there was hardly anyone.

We call Dominic's all the time for delivery. The chicken piccata is excellent; I really like the penne with vodka sauce; and you must get the garlic knots. If you are in the mood for pizza, the margarita pizza is a must try!

Their pizza is one of the best around! The type of pizza I loved in NJ. When I asked why there pizza crust is so good... the answer was - we get it from NJ. Hot entrees are very good, not a fan of the angel hair soufflé or whatever that side is called. I prefer plain pasta. Now that I live in Tampa, I still go there once a week for awesome pizza.

I have to say that it is a pretty good place, we arrived at about 8:30 pm to a deserted restaurant. Our fear was thus was here for a reason, we are happy to report the food was better than expected, service was also good. Lobster ravioli was even though the sauce needed thicker and seasoning. All in all it is a pretty good place.

I had an appointment nearby, I had only 30 minutes to eat, but I was starving, this place looked like a good spot to get a quick meal. They had some pretty good lunch specials, so I went with a half a sub (I chose their The All Mighty Italian Sub) and some fries. It was 12:30 pm, prime lunch time, but there were only two other tables with people, which I found odd. The place is pretty large with a lot of seating. I noticed some bottled beers as well as some beers on tap. After five minutes, my food was delivered. It wasn't the best Italian sub that's ever gone into my belly, but it was far from the worst. The bread was pretty tasty and thick, but it could have used some more salami, capriccola, ham, mortadella and pepperoni though. The fries were nice and warm and not too shabby. The food is about a three for me, but the quick service and fair price gives it the nod for a four.

  • Cheryl O.

I wanted to like it. Really I did. Service & staff were very sweet but it won't be enough to draw us back for another meal. I had the Tortellini ala Vodka. Not great for the price they fetch. I expected a homemade sauce at least since the pasta wasn't. They had homemade bread but it was doughy. My husbands spaghetti & meatballs was reportedly good but not great. It would be less disappointing if the prices were in line with the quality of the food.

Not impressed. My husband and I decided to try take out this evening from this place. When we got home we opened our daughters spaghetti and meatballs and there was hardly any pasta/sauce and NO meatballs. Frustrating. Hubby had to drive back to the restaurant to get her meal corrected. I'll also add that I think $9 for a kids meals is a bit absurd for PASTA. My fettuccini Alfredo was bland. The portion was small but I never finish all the pasta most places give me so that wasn't a big deal. My husbands tortellini tasted like it was frozen, same with the calamari. Definitely doesn't taste like they use fresh ingredients. I will say they marinara is good but not enough for us to go back. A disappointing experience.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
